California’s scenic Sierra Nevada range has provided inspiration to artists for centuries. Placer County’s historic towns, scenic routes and stunning recreation areas provide the backdrop for a vibrant arts community that includes visual, performing and literary arts.
The Susan Cooley-Gilliom Artist Residency & Teaching Program invites you to nourish your artistic soul with two Artist Residencies in 2011. In addition to the workshops, several special events and receptions will allow participants to engage with the local arts community.
November – Blue Line Gallery, Roseville, California
Roseville Arts hosts two November workshops with ceramics artist Richard Notkin, a full-time studio artist who lives and works in Helena, Montana.
Blue Line Gallery, a 5500 square foot state-of-the-art facility located in Roseville’s historic downtown, boasts three spacious arcades with classroom space for children and aspiring artists and a gift shop.
